    Relax & Restore:
    Workshop with Sherry Norman

     
    Whether you find the holiday season to be energizing and exciting or stressful and draining, this workshop is for you! 

    Take time for yourself to rest and recharge with our three-hour Restorative Yoga Workshop. We will explore gentle stretches to open and prepare the body for deep relaxation. Props such a bolsters, blankets and chairs will support postures that are designed to dismantle tension, improve immune function and promote a general feeling of well-being. Breath awareness and guided visualizations are offered to quiet the mind and help you find peace and calm during this busy holiday season.

    Register early as space (and props) are limited.

    Intro to Yoga
    with Lynne Swenson
     

    New student will learn the foundational principles of the Yoga poses. 

    Topics include the importance of alignment and the use of props. 


     
    Also, this class will address why Iyengar Yoga is ideally suited to the people of all ages and abilities. 

     

    After taking this workshop you will be confident to begin your Yoga journey.

    Yin Yoga & Chakra Meditation
    with Debbie Sereda

    A deep yin yoga practice designed to stimulate and open
    the chakras, preparing the body for a Chakra Meditation.
    Essential oils, music, lights, and mantras (known as bijas) will
    be used to deepen your experience.

     We are very happy to host Margot Kitchen at the Yoga Studio South in December!

    Join senior Iyengar Yoga teacher Margot for a workshop to learn how the outer body supports the inward journey. Discover how asanas are transformed from being held by the physical body to being the means to free the energy body. Margot will focus on intermediate asana, pranayama and philosophy - specifically the Intermediate Junior I syllabus.
    Margot is one of Canada's most popular and respected Senior Iyengar Yoga Teachers. Her workshops are known for precision and clarity laced with a rich dose of humor and compassion.
     

    Sat/Sun - Requires at least one year of Iyengar Yoga experience.
